Library · mirror program

Take the library offline. Properly.

The GoBagPlus library is built for redistribution. If you’re a library, community resilience group, civil defence team, or NGO who wants to hand out USB sticks with the whole thing on it — we’ll help.

What you get

  • The current library bundles as zipped archives — PDFs + manifests + checksums + per-bundle licence reports.
  • A branded start-here.html launcher that explains how to read the content offline and how to load the ZIM archives (WikiMed, Wikipedia subset) via Kiwix.
  • Placeholder slots for region-specific OpenStreetMap extracts — you choose the region appropriate to your community.
  • Update notifications when new bundles ship, so the mirror you distribute stays current.

What we ask

  • Don’t strip the attribution. Every bundle carries the required licence notices in licences.json and the launcher; please keep them intact.
  • Don’t add content we haven’t reviewed. The audit trail is the point — adding random PDFs to the disk breaks that promise.
  • Tell us roughly where the mirror is going (city, organisation, scale). We don’t track individual sticks, but we’d like to know which communities are using the program.

Who this is for

We’ve had useful conversations with:

  • Public libraries assembling community emergency kits.
  • Volunteer fire and rescue services.
  • Civil defence / Civil Protection teams.
  • NGOs operating in low-connectivity regions.
  • Schools building disaster-readiness modules.

If you’re an individual prepper who wants a USB stick — that’s the built-in Prepper Disk Extended bundle, available to any Premium subscriber. The mirror program is for organisations handing out multiple copies.

Cost

Free for non-profit redistribution. For commercial reuse, email us first.
