What we look for
The hiring bar — when we’re hiring — is:
- Long-form thinkers. Most of our work is offline-first and small-team-forever. The right person enjoys sitting with a problem for a week, not picking a ticket from a board.
- Generalists who ship. Tiny teams need people who can move between iOS, web, content, and ops in a week and not flinch.
- Calm under uncertainty.Preparedness is a calm thing. The way we work mirrors that — we don’t do crunch and we don’t treat the team like a stress test.
Where we might hire next
- iOS engineer (SwiftUI / SwiftData / StoreKit experience).
- Full-stack web (Next.js / Supabase / TypeScript).
- Content curator / librarian (preparedness, public-domain rights work, fact-checking).
None of these are open today. When one is, it’ll appear here with a real spec.
